From 18 to 20 September 2026, Medicina goes back in time to the Middle Ages with Barbarossa, the historical re-enactment that brings the town centre to life for three days with parades, shows, music, traditions and plenty of festive moments.

This year again, Cantina Mingazzini will be there with its wines, available at several taverns, towers and food & drink spots throughout the festival.

There are many ways to experience Barbarossa: stroll through the town centre, follow the parades, enjoy the shows or stop at one of the many taverns for something to eat and a good glass of wine.

The festival kicks off on Friday evening with the opening celebrations, the Corteo Regale delle Genti del Castello and the Caursa dal dag e tri. On Saturday and Sunday, the highlights will include the Palio degli Arcieri, the Palio della Serpe and many other shows and events.

For us, it’s special to be part of it, right here in the area where we work every day.
