Cantina Mingazzini was founded in Medicina (Bologna) in 1964 in a little facility not so far from the present one. In a space which was large only some hundreds of square meters, there were stored oak barrels, jugs and some rudimentary equipments to prepare wine.
Sooner than expected, the increasing demand of our wines brought us to enlarge the production plant and it was necessary to move into a new plant with a total area larger than 2000 sq.meters.
It was, then, born our “Cantina di Città”, since we were and are the only wine maker processing and transforming the grapes in a facility placed almost in the centre of our town. In this way, everybody can easily get to our shop and find quality wines with the authentic taste of our hills.
We are proud of any effort we made in these long years, by taking care of all the process from harvesting the grapes, to wine transformation, making analysis, filtration and bottling till the final stock. In this way we can always guarantee the best quality and value of all our products.
After more than 50 years, in 2010 the winery has been delivered to the new generation: Alessandro Mingazzini, together with Tommaso Dall’Olio did choose to join their forces and passions to preserve and transmit the family history which could not be forgotten.
